I have been at this dental practice for over 10 years, however my most recent 2 experiences have been very disappointing. 1. The dentist was 25 minutes late to my appointment. When asking why, she said she was having a 'mothers meeting' in the reception. She subsequently asked me what the abbreviations on my dentist notes stood for (I obviously didn't know - I'm a patient not a dentist). She then asked me what sort of material was used on my recent filling (again, not a dentist...). I then had to wait 20 minutes for my x-ray results which were taken incorrectly and then I had to be re-x-rayed. I was not shown the subsequent results or called after to understand whether my treatment plan was still necessary and appropriate (the costs of which were well over 1000). 2. I had a hygienist appointment at 4pm one Monday, I got a call 40 minutes before my appointment saying the hygienist was unwell and didn't make it into the practice. I confirmed that she hadn't been in all day (and therefore could have been informed anytime in the morning), but the receptionists were too busy to inform me until just before my appointment. This is all completely unacceptable, unprofessional and demonstrates that patient care is not at the forefront of the practice. I am a private patient who pays 20 a month for the high level dental-plan alongside paying for extensive treatment, I expected much better service.

Hi Selly Oak dental practice Is nice and clean dentist i saw was friendly kind they do try to help you as I come along way get there they tell honestly too

We are new to Birmingham and visited Selly Oak dental practice for my 5 year old, they did exceptionally well. got appointment in a day + free check up
