Bhandal Dental Surgery

My mum had the misfortune of being to the emergency care clinic at this dental practice. She was seen by a dentist on 29th April 2023, where she was prescribed antibiotics. The dentist that saw my mum did not stamp the prescription, so when my mum went to our pharmacist, they refused to accept the prescription and provide the antibiotics citing correctly that they need to know the address of the prescriber and that the prescription should be stamped. We also tried two other pharmacies who stated the same thing and advised us to contact the dental practice again. When we did ring the practice, we received a generic out of hours message. I put in a complaint and received a nonsensical explanation about there being a stamp at the front desk that is used for prescriptions. Yet the dentist couldn't communicate this to my mum who spent a whole extra day in agony owing to their incompetence until she could be booked in with a more competent dentist. I would avoid this practice and go somewhere where they have competent and diligent staff.

Lack of empathy. They communicate like you are daft when all they are after is their money. The feeling is like get off the chair quickly.

Visited the surgery this afternoon , only to be met by once again not so happy or people friendly reception staff. Queue was building up whilst one of two receptionists was busy having a gossip with the manager which seem to go on and on and on. No consideration for the patients lining up. No smile when finally reached the desk, no lovely greeting. Seriously who employs these people . We need some training guys in customer service. Now , to the dentist. My lovely heaven sent dentist Mr Shiv who works with such care. A true asset to the surgery. By the looks of it probably the only asset. He worked wonders today and I give him 5 stars easy. Oh and the lady who interrupted my very nervous procedure, swanning in and out of the room as though she was at the theatre, to speak to the dental assistant about her forthcoming shifts,, whilst she was trying to do her job and hold the thingy to suck up saliva in my mouth, I must say was very rude and inconsiderate. It turns out she was the manager and also the same lady who was having a natter undeterred at the beginning of this review. Tut tut! 0 stars possibly one with some training.
