From initial point of contact right through to completion of the works, Matt and his team kept me up to date with all progress. I found the whole journey with Matt, Jon and Dave brilliant, couldnt fault the professionalism of them. Not once did they stop from when they turned up in the morning to when they left in the evening. A couple of head scratching moments but they quickly overcame them with a quick and effective solution. The mindset of nothing is impossible really shows with this company

The team at D5 have delivered a genuinely transformative, amazing garage conversion for us. It's totally changed what was once dead storage space into an office and utility/downstairs loo. We've had plans drawn up to do lots of work but opted to carry out the garage conversion first, so that we've got a place to work when we move on to renovating the back of the house. We'd engaged with a few construction companies, with mixed responses. We knew D5 were the right ones for us within 20 minutes of meeting Matt. We really liked how Matt had a deep knowledge of the design and planning process too, including building control and regs. Matt was transparent with price, timescales and expectations. The guy just *knows* how to manage a building project and was totally transparent from the outset. He's clearly experienced, and over the course of 4 weeks had all the required tradespeople lined up to come in and carry out their work. This is what modern construction should look like; skilled professionals, being transparent, courteous and timely. Matt kept us up to date on a WhatsApp group; on Mondays we were told what was happening that week. At the end of each day, Matt would check in and say his now famous line "Are you happy?". The answer was always a 'yes' from us, because he's got seriously high standards. My wife is notoriously hard to please, and she's over the moon with how this all went. This is a real case of someone who loves their job wanting to deliver a final product that is meaningful and impactful for the customer. There's a difference between builders wanting to 'get the job done' and those that get the job done but to the best of their ability. Matt is the latter. His attention to detail is astounding - from getting the right patterned bricks to match the existing ones, through to creating extra headroom in the downstairs loo - Matt and D5 always factor in the practicalities of the finished product. We're thrilled with the work, and would have them back without question, such is the quality of the final product. I'd recommend them without hesitation. We even left them the keys to the house whilst we went away for a night. In summary: completely trustworthy, hard working, skilled and great communicators ... and cracking builders too. Can't wait to have them back ... but will need to stock up on teabags and biscuits first!

We have nothing but good things to say about Matt and his team at D5. They did a really brilliant job of our extension, finishing on time and on budget. The project was on a comparatively challenging site with a few unorthodox elements and they coped brilliantly with all that this project thew at them. Communication was unfailingly good, and they (Matt and John especially) were a joy to have around. On the very rare occasions where things weren't quite as we wanted them, Matt went above and beyond to make the changes necessary to ensure we were happy with the build. We are really very pleased with the end result and genuinely wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked.

Can't speak highly enough of Matt and the D5 team. They just finished our extension and kitchen renovation and we're very pleased with the results. Matt's attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond for the customer ensured the project finished ahead of schedule and exceeded our expectations. Matt was always happy to talk through any concerns we had and share his ideas and experience to help us make decisions about the smaller cosmetic stuff as well as the bigger things. On top of that, Matt and the team were very friendly and courteous, which is important when they're in your house every day for an extended period. Would happily recommend D5 to anyone!

We commissioned Matt for our single story, side extension that not only extended the downstairs footprint but converted two rooms to create one space. We wanted one person to handle the full delivery for us, giving us a finished product. From the initial meeting it was clear Matt is upfront and transparent. A schedule of works was presented together with a payment schedule linked to milestones of the project. Our architect had missed the internal wall was load bearing. Matt took control of this issue and ensured the architect provided the required revised plans with no input required from us, something which we considered to be over and above what was agreed from him. The whole experience was excellent. The end delivery was ahead of schedule and on budget (only extra cost was linked to load bearing wall surprise). Everyone Matt brought into our home was respectful, professional and focused on providing the best they could. We couldnt be happier with what Matt and the team have given us.
