Specialized Concept Store

Had the pleasure of a 3hour bike fit with Jon and the team at the Specialized Concept Store in Fort Dunlop, Birmingham today. Cannot recommend it highly enough if you have a new bike and kit OR you just want to dial in your current rig, it is worth every penny. The time, effort and expertise during the fit was brilliant. Jon was extremely meticulous with his craft and he explained all parts of the procedure in detail, pointing out where he thought it would help me the most. Thank you very much, the changes were immediately noticeable on my first spin out...!! I definitely plan to visit you guys when it it time to change bikes again. Keep up the great work!! 5* service!!

I was searching for a bike (had a short list) and on talking to Danny he guided me to one that was best suited to my needs. (No it wasn't the most expensive one in the list). Add to that further discussion on accessories that would make the riding experience more bearable, we looked at what was available in the sale and Danny guided me through the plethora of items available. I made a variety of alterations having looked on the website, and when I chose more expensive mudguards, I was informed how the cheaper ones perform better!! The bike was assembled with mudguards, and shipped overnight. Danny followed up with calls / emails and kept me informed of when it was going to be dispatched (I needed it after a particular date) and the whole process was as smooth as you could hope for. One item (a jacket) was too small when I had it delivered and exchanging it for a larger size was no more than a simple call - if all retailers made the process so easy, it would be brilliant. Overall, I am more than happy with the way I was dealt with, the advice I was given and the whole experience of getting a bike suitable for my specific requirements. I talked to others in the store, and they too were on point with any questions I had. I would heartily recommend going into the store, talking to the staff and listening to their advice. Especially as someone who is coming back to cycling after a long time, it is a minefield and you can easily end up with items that are expensive, not suitable or just not useful. I believe that with the expertise provided by going in store (I live many hours away but made a detour to get to the store just before Xmas) would benefit the customer and it seems to me that Danny wants the customer to get the right product to enable them to enjoy cycling. Now I gotta get on with putting some miles in and then will be coming back to the store to buy smaller items.... You have definitely proven that there is a benefit of shopping in person and whilst subsequent conversations were done on the phone / email, it was the initial impression that made me buy here and I for one am glad that I did. Keep up the good work all at Certini.
