        I have recently visited this premises. Birmingham City Council have enabled vulnerable persons to be housed in a safe, managed environment. The building has fire provision such as, a mixture of smoke and heat detection, sprinklers, automatically opening smoke vents plus dry and wet risers, which not only keep the residents safe but also assist fire fighters when dealing with a fire situation. With the recent events involving Grenfell, this tower block is a shining light on how fire safety provision should can be utilised for the future where tower blocks are housing vulnerable people. Everyone has the right to live in a safe environment and Barry Jackson Tower allows this.
