Popped in for pre meal drink . Returned after the meal and manager/owner immediately offered drinks as ordered before our meal. So full we just wanted a short. Brandy for me but no Drambuiie, Baileys or Cointreau for husband. Lady brought over a special rum for husband as she had overheard me asking if he fancied a rum no charge! Great little local, wish we lived a big closer as it could easily become ours and I am sure, if we were regulars, they would have our preferred shorts in stock xx

I can't believe I've never drank in here although I have lived in Wallasey on and off for near 50 years. Cheap drink and a great, large beer garden that is probably as big as the inside of the bar itself. The place isn't big. Split into 3 areas, the front, main bar probably holds about 30 people, the middle area, just behind the bar can probably hold about 20 people and then the beer garden can probably hold a further 50 people. Within the beer garden is a covered area that smokers loved on a cold winter's night. The owner, Macca, is well known in the Wallasey bar and football scene and was giving a local a lift home when I arrived- a touch rarely seen from landlords nowadays.
