This is the best care home I have ever been to. To be blunt, most seem to smell of urine and disinfectant. This just smells clean. The staff are wonderful, very professional, friendly and caring. My mother was in hospital and we were told that she would probably die within a week. They needed the bed, so they sent her to Whitby House. Over a year later, she's still there. She made a remarkable recovery. What she really needed was care, something that she wasn't getting in hospital. The rooms are basic but adequate, with plenty of room for visitors. The meals are wholesome and tasty. The main thing is that the staff are excellent. This can change over time, of course, but at the moment I would strongly recommend Whitby House. Your loved ones will be in good hands.
