Very helpful staff, even though they must be inundated with referrals due to the Pandemic. I don't know where I would be without them! Great sessions ran by the team and supportive phonecalls on the regular. I cannot thank you enough.

Not for me. I did drink too much, especially at the weekends and I wanted help for me to understand why I felt I needed to drink to relax and de-stress. When I went through the initial assessment it seemed promising and the lady was really nice and helpful. But then she put me in touch with another lady who made massive assumptions about me from the outset. She asked me if I have a driving licence and if I drive to work. Without any knowledge of my true drinking habits she assumed that if I drive to work then I'm over the limit in the morning and told me that she would have to report me to the police. I asked her "how would the police prove your assumption?" and she backtracked and said "no, I'm not going to but if I suspected it then I would have to". Absolutely ridiculous way to deal with someone who has reached out for support. I cut ties with the whole company immediately. I can honestly say I have never in my life driven over the limit (I even own an expensive breathaliser so that i could be certain - she never gave me the opportunity to share that piece of information) but the assumption made by these people is clearly that everyone who goes to them for help is a lying alcoholic who is on a path to self destruction. Their approach is based upon the stereotype of what an alcohol dependency looks like. Fortunately I found this out straight away before they reeled me in. Since then I have managed to help myself instead. I read a great book by Allen Carr. I'd highly recommend it. So I've managed to introduce a healthier approach to life. I was highly judged by this second woman. And her assumptions were based upon virtually no knowledge of me as a person.
