        Due to the extreme economic conditions we have had to endure for the last several years it has been difficult trading for many retailers. Some of the largest have taken flight but there is still a great buzz in the central fast food area and still a worthwhile place to wander and shop at a leisurely pace.

        Probably the best selection of shops in Birkenhead these days, clean and tidy, reasonable parking costs. Plenty of food choices. Good disabled access. Toilets are handy but there's a small charge to use.
