45 min wait for a ploughmans lunch, and half cheese sandwich. Drank Cappuccino which was out of a packet and tea, then sat and waited. Ploughman's was cheese hot bread salad apples grapes and half strawberry, 3 picked sauces. Staff wasnt pleasant or bothered that we waited. Lovely setting but not a pleasant cafe.

Writing a review as when attending the tea rooms, I left my (reasonably expensive) sunglasses on the table when I left. When I realised and went back, they were closed. I live down in London and was on an early train home the following day which was before the tea room opened again. I called them when they did open and luckily, they had found them and hung on to them. They then kindly agreed to post them to my house and yesterday they arrived in a huge box, wrapped in bubble wrap and completely undamaged. A MASSIVE thank you to all those at the Tea Room, not only are their scones and tea delicious but they're clearly very kind and full of integrity to go out of their way to return someone's belongings in that way. Fully recommended if you're in the area!
