Visited almost by accident and as we looked a little bemused the most friendly volunteer (Angela) took us under her wing. She gave us a quick but very thorough history lesson and gave us a tour of the grounds. Arts and crafts activities were available above the museum so great for families as well. The view from St Mary's Tower is stunning! We will definitely be returning the next time we're over this side of the water

A piece of local history the priory is the oldest building in Merseyside. A local gem which is always worth a visit. there are remains of the priory, remains of a church with a tower and a chapter house to see during your visit. Going up the tower you can get some great views of the Liverpool waterfront and surrounding area. There site is dog friendly and there are toilet facilities as well.

Beautiful place, with such helpful & knowledgeable staff. We felt really welcome and my 3 year old had a great time looking at the dinosaur footprints! Thank you for a really pleasant afternoon
