Back in the early 1950s, I used to walk through the Arno on my way to Duck Pond Lane, where we used to feed the ducks in the pond that used to be there. The Arno was one of my favourite places to go.

A lovely little park, built on the site of an old quarry. The rose garden is particularly beautiful in summer.

The Oxton Rose Garden is well worth a visit. There are plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy the gardens as the time passes you by.The gardens themselves are well kept and several volunteers are on hand to help with their upkeep. If taking the children for a stroll do visit the bug hotel which is well worth a visit. There is also an old quarry behind the gardens which is also nice for a stroll. On a sunny day this is one place you have to visit.Pets to be kept on leads.Easy access for mobility scooters in the gardens only.
