M53 Ford Ellesmere Port

I have had 6 services and MOT's on my vehicle from new and would recommend them to family and friends. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. In the event of my waiting for my vehicle I have been offered hot drinks throughout my wait. My car has a valet before I drive it away and as I also get vehicle assist breakdown recovery included in the price of the service I feel it is a very competitive price. On the one occasion that I had to have work done, it was explained that the job couldn't be completed that day, I was offered a lift home and the car was dropped off at my home the next day, which I found invaluable as I live 15 miles away with no direct transport links.

I have experienced gear selection trouble with my Ford Puma for months. Birkenhead M53 said it was normal! Ford's have rod gear change system, but I could try the EP branch if I wasn't happy. I did, and the technician agreed with me, there was a problem. He added there was a CABLE adjustment. The car was booked in, but when I asked for a courtesy car to cover my 15 miles journeys I was asked for my age. I was informed I was too old and that branch's insurance policy would not cover me. I had to cancel the booking. I checked with other Merseyside dealers about their insurance limits. There was no upper age limit but they restricted under 21's. I am assuming that each dealer have their own insurance conditions.
