We had a boiler installed for my parents on behalf of the council. One of those "done in a day" jobs. In 3 years, I've had to call out the engineer 3 times to fix problems with it under warranty. Another gas engineer we use for routine servicing said that the CH system should have been flushed before the new boiler was installed. It should have also had a magna filter installed too. Neither were done leading to repeated blockages and loss of water pressure. Not only that, the piping route taken by the installers was unsightly and took "the easy route". I'd removed furniture etc to enable them to go under the floorboards en route to the boiler, but they chose to go full external. Now it looks like some sort of Jules Verne submarine thing. Just....really disappointing.
