I was living in the UK for a little over a year for studies. I got myself a job related to my master and applied to a visa that was denied so I had to leave the country, I left before my visa expired. Three months after that I had to come back for my graduation and also take that opportunity to do some tourist activities I had postponed for so long whilst living there. When I got to the airport I was detained for over 3 hours because they couldn't confirm I was "a genuine tourist" which is understandable, perhaps 3 hours was too much but I could understand the confusion. HOWEVER, my problem was when the agent told me. "Thank you waiting. You see... you tried to stay. And now you are here after three months. We cannot confirm you are a genuine tourist. I do see you have your graduation so this time I am gonna let you in but we don't want to see you again in a few years. If you want to complain this is my agent number...." I went to the UK to study. I invested so much money and time there. I have volunteered for three of your charities, I payed my taxes and I didn't use nor required any public funds AND most importantly I didn't over stay nor broke any laws. DEAR AGENT, You are serving your country and the people that finds it attractive enough to bring their money for studies, for tourism or to get a new better life than they can have in their countries. All of these cases help your economy and improve your quality of life. I hope no one else has to hear that from someone again" WE DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU IN A FEW YEARS..... HA!
