Lemon and Thyme catering Ltd

We used Lemon and Thyme to do the catering for our wedding. The food and service were outstanding. Especially the curry which many of our guests commented on the next day We can highly recommend!

I have never been disappointed by Lemon and Thyme even when I thought my expectations couldnt be met. I totally recommend them.

I attended an awards evening which was catered for by this company. After rushing around all day I was looking forward to a lovely evening and a nice meal. I had a lovely evening- but such a shame about the meal. When it eventually came it was chicken, stuffing and gravy on a plate with gravy (jus)- a tiny bit around one side of the plate. We waited ages for all of our table to be given a meal and then ages again for vegetables and gravy. We had to make the veg stretch as the bowl wasnt very big for our table of 8 people. While they brought our dinner we asked them to move the canaps as they were starting to get a bit dried up as theyd been out a while. So time to tuck in! It wasnt very warm.. the chicken was very dry- the stuffing dry, and the vegetables . A whole new meaning from field to fork. They were so hard they were left by everyone on our table. Such a shame as I hate to see waste. I left most of my chicken too as it was just too dry. So when desert eventually came, I did have to laugh! Summer fruits desert. Looked like something concocted in home economics class by eleven year olds. A bit of white bread with the crusts still on. Twisted into a circle bit of fruit compot underneath and squirty cream on the top. No thanks. Having been to these awards and knowing what the standard of food was like in previous years- this was way off even being anywhere near comparable. Such as shame as Im sure so much hard work goes into these events for the organisers and the caterers. So onto the cheese board.this should have been brought out earlier but it wasnt. This came during the presentation of the awards, so I thought lovely I can enjoy some cheese when Ive been and presented an award. Came and sat back down. Had a couple of bits of cheese and a cracker for the next thing I know it was whipped away and taken back! Thanks! No one came and asked if everything was ok during the meal- it was as if they knew it wasnt so saved themselves the feedback. Waiting staff were wandering around aimlessly and I get that for some of these people it could have been their first big function, so some direction for them would have been appreciated Im sure. All in all Im sorry to say its the worst meal Ive had at one of these awards evenings- and one of the worst catered for meals Ive had. Such a shame as Im sure they had the potential to do further events. Having been involved in events like this, Im positive it would be very disappointing for the event organisers who Im sure took a lot of time sourcing the right people to cater for this event and Im sure they feel embarrassed and very let down. It was home to toast and a cuppa!
