Bearhugs Canine Hydrotherapy

My dog Fendi loved going to Bearhugs for her hydro sessions, the ladies were very welcoming and made us both feel at ease. They let me sit in on the sessions with Fendi and share the experience with her, which also allowed me to feel reassured that Fendi was ok. The team are very knowledgeable and approachable. Each and every one of the team are true animal lovers, Fendi would pull me up to the door on arrival as she would be so excited for her session. Prior to starting hydro, Fendi was diagnosed with a mild CCL tear, which resulted in muscle atrophy in her hind legs. After just a few hydro sessions, Fendi started to rebuild her muscle mass and strength in her hind limbs. The team often reassured me that Fendi was making good progress and would take time to explain how and why. Very friendly, high energy team, I highly recommend! Thank you again ladies for all your help. Fendi will miss you!

I have been using Bearhugs for years, with various dogs, and with my latest girl, she had Degenerative Myelopathy and the girls treated her as their own. Even though I had known the owners for a long time, they greeted every customer and every dog in the same way. Tei has now passed away but I would not hesitate to use Bearhugs again if I needed to and thoroughly recommend them.

I have been a client of Bearhugs since my little shi tzu Missy was referred by my vet in June 2017. This was following an MRI scan which revealed chronic disc herniation causing weakness in her back legs, and also arthritis. Her therapy programme included swimming and underwater treadmill to strengthen her muscles. Later she received laser therapy also. Sadly my little fur baby, after 5/6 years attending Bearhugs, went over rainbow bridge a few weeks ago. I cannot praise the team highly enough for their professionalism, knowledge, skill and dedication to their work. They are a lovely, friendly and caring group. They genuinely care for all the dogs in their care, Missy and I were treated with the utmost respect. They formed a good relationship with Missy and made her feel at ease.
