A serendipitous great find. Due to huge delays on M25 on my way to Brighton, I decided to change direction and go from scenic routes. Stopped at the Limeburners for break. A beautiful 400 year old pop that is well kept with pleasant staff and fast service.

Starters average, Mains very good. Despite staying on-site, it was a great shame and very disappointed to be informed the pub was being closed at 10pm, ON-THE-DOT, at the Easter weekend, even though the official hours were publicised as the usual 11pm! Literally told we had 8 minutes to drink the drinks we ordered at 9:52!!!! We were not rowdy, drunk or even slightly impolite... and we weren't even the last customers in the bar. What's that about?!!! I suppose the 130 we'd spent on food, camping and drinks was adequate and they didn't want any more - interesting way to run a hospitality business! Nice traditional pub otherwise.
