Right next door to Morgans hair salon, is a little gem of a business. It's a gift shop called The Rocking Horse. From the exterior - and it is a very pretty exterior, with a pretty display of a typical english cottage garden - you will have no inkling as to what awaits you inside. Inside, your visual senses are bombarded by a wide and random array of quirkiness. For this is a gift shop with real character and quite unlike others. From vintage goods, dressers and jewellery, to bespoke items of furniture and other unusual items for the house and garden. It is the randomness of the multitude of gifts on display, that really keeps you absorbed as you flutter from corner of the shop to another. Add to that, the quaint courtyard garden at the rear, with a plethora of garden plants on sale all made up in the most fabulous and funky planters. This is a shopping experience that has you feeling like you've gone stepping back in time to the 1950's, through to the 1970's. This adorable little nugget of a shop, quietly nestled away within the hight street of Billingshurst, and sitting humbly next to Morgans hair salon, has a unique charm about it. A charm that you can really feel, as you wonder merrily amongst its myriad of wonderful bits and pieces.

I get the best haircuts I've ever had and all the staff are so friendly, it's at treat to go there.
