My husband went in for a general check over as he wasn't sleeping or eating and was very shaky. Bloods came back fine but his blood pressure was high. Nurse Kay flagged up concern to Dr Parry who called him in the next morning and spent a considerable time just talking and understanding what the problem was. It helped him so much. Although his meds were amended it was the time taken which made the difference. This surgery is outstanding in its care. Staff there are so genuine and form a very efficient and communicative team. We cannot praise them high enough.

This surgery was brilliant at first, since covid the receptionists have come more abrupt and like gatekeepers. You can't even get an appointment. You wait for a week for a call and only then do they see you if they decide to. No chance to see a Dr face to face on the day at all now, they make a future appointment even if you ring first thing. The female Dr can be a bit abrupt also and judgmental. They've lost their friendliness and ability to communicate empathy and respect. Appreciate they are under pressure but so are patients who have to beg to be seen. People are ignoring illness for fear of calling and daring to ask for an appointment. It's just not good enough. We will be leaving and moving our family elsewhere.
