I had a gift voucher for afternoon tea and full use of the spa. I decided to book an overnight stay as well. Greenwood's Spa is pleasant. The room was adequate. Had all the right things a room should have. I only booked the standard room. I was lucky enough to have a nice view even though it was raining! The facilities were good and clean. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the sauna. It was only after leaving the hot stone relaxation room that I noticed the sauna was next door. It's in a different part from the swimming pool and steam room area so be advised! Had an Elemis facial. The young lady was friendly and professional, and it was lovely. The afternoon tea was nice, but I found for me there were too many cakes compared to the savoury sandwiches. The room where it was held is very oldy worldy and extremely quiet! Be careful not to talk too loudly, otherwise, others will hear you! I did order room service that evening, and that was quick service and really tasty. I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The breakfast the next day was lovely. I recommend the Eggs Royal (friend had this) and the Eggs Florintine. Again, the breakfast room is very small and quiet, and you sit close to the table next to you, which doesn't make you feel comfortable talking freely! It's not the type of spa that you can walk around in your robes the whole day like some spas, but it is a pleasant place. It's a little outdated (decor), but overall, it was pleasant. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite.

SPA is quite small but clean & relaxing. Had a treatment, young lady , very nice and polite . Hotel is nice looking, food was really tasty. Staff are Polite and helpful. Our room ...... up lots of stairs no lift , room dirty, small , bathroom ugly and in need to be up dated, furniture although nice , had dirty tea stains and other dirty marks on walls ect , to much furniture in the room making it feel small. Cheap soap smelt horrid, cheap biscuits and not enough Tea , milk and coffee. Although Bed was comfy but same duvet covers as Butlins. We enjoyed our stay but would give it 3* rating.
