        We have been visiting The Crown for family meals for 10+ years. The food and service has always been incredible. However we visited the restaurant on Sunday evening and found the menu to be very limited and portions extremely small compared to when we have previously visited. I ordered a mocha and was charged 7.50 for it! Really disappointing as it used to be so fantastic.

        We popped in hoping for some lunch but alas were too late for lunch and too early for dinner, the pleasant barmaid suggested a selection of nuts and or crisps so we opted for both, caramel pecans, dry roasted and normal salted nuts, decanted into a nice large mug sized pot, with two pkts crisps and two pints bitter shandy. The place was warm and welcoming, a log fire in a lovely fire place, very comfy chairs to relax in and a real friendly air to the place. Lovely clean toilets and the dining area looked large and spacious. Perfect spot if your living in or visiting Bilderston.
