The Normans

We got married at The Normans on 22/04/23 and had one of the best days of our lives. The venue is absolutely stunning and like nowhere else we have seen. The use of lighting, the nods to farmlife in the decor and the courtyard in the sun makes it truly breathtaking. It is built for weddings with great accessibility, superb sound systems and on site accomodation for brides and a few others. Not just that, but we had an incredible level of support leading up to the day from the team answering questions on email and letting us visit after booking to refresh our memories! Oliver was on hand throughout but especially the day before to calm our nerves and all day throughout meaning we worried about nothing and the day ran so smoothly. We could not recommend a venue more!

We were married at The Normans on 18th March 2023. A simply incredible venue to be have our big day at. We couldn't speak highly enough of Oliver, Sharon and the whole team. From the 18 months between choosing the venue and the wedding, Oliver and Sharon were at hand and happy to answer any questions that we had. From the first moment we visited we knew it was the venue for us. They made us feel so welcome and made everything so easy! The venue itself is perfect and is without a doubt the best in Yorkshire. You have to do little to The Normans before your wedding. Sharon was lovely in showing us round with our parents once we chose the venue and ran the tasting evening brilliantly. Oliver ran our day and was beyond helpful from the Friday through to the Sunday. Nothing was too big and he was happy to help, on the Saturday everything ran smoothly with not a single hiccup and Oliver was always on hand making sure things were ticking over, which made our day stress free. We could not recommend The Normans highly enough and hope to return as guests one day. We feel like me made good friends with the team and can pop in to say high if we were in the area. Joe and Abi

What a venue! What a day! What a dream! Perfect in every way, a family business who really understand what weddings are about. Nothing was too much effort or too much of an inconvenience. The team went out of their way to keep us calm, cool and collected the morning of, well informed and listen to during the whole planning process and made setting up the day before stress free. Could not recommend this beautiful setting anymore!
