        Bignor roman villa can be found in the south downs national park, and the surrounding vista is stunning. You can see why they would want to build a villa here. Although a fair bit smaller than Fishbourne, the quality of the mosaics is as good if not better. There is a good little museum , telling the story of the villa and showing various finds. On the day I was there there was a group recreating various aspects of roman life. There is also a small cafe on site with both seating in and outside. Recommended
