I live there and it's been one of the best 8 years of my life. You have no worries about anything. Grand Union Housing are the landlords and sheltered care in this case are what they excel at. Bags of support any sort of repair, problem or worry are a phone call, an online form or live chat away. Speedy response and follow up. They are currently making a rolling 5 year survey of their properties with a vue to a programme of refurbishment. Weekly visits by a friendly care worker. The main building has 2 laundry rooms. There is a large fully equipped bathroom with washing, bath and shower facilities for use amongst others if there is a disruption to your own bathroom. Everything is geared towards disability needs. 2 scooter rooms Car parking for residents and visitors Large bin store area two gardens cared for by residents (their own plot of garden) Lawn cutting and tree care Free window cleaning BT and Virgin media connection available in flats (many different sizes) Large recently refurbished common area with fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge facilities (booking for private functions) Guest accommodation for friends and family bookable at reasonable rates. Large foyer with new seating and coffee tables. Intercomms for main and side entrances Electronic key fob for main and side door nd go as you please day or night Keep to yourself or social interaction entirely up to you ages 60 and up couples and singles Medical infirmity required A large caring community 5 minutes walk from town shopping Close GP and healthcare Library next door I'm sure I've left things out but i can't commend it enough
