Our Daughter has always loved attending nursery at Bright Stars and her confidence has grown massively since started back in 2020! The staff have always been warm and welcoming and we couldnt rate the nursery any better if we tried. Our Son starts in April and Im sure will love it just as much as our Daughter has!

My son attended the nursery and sadly whilst in their care got seriously sunburnt on his face. They were out in the sun all day and no shade. They even at the hottest part of the day were sat eating their lunch with no shade. My son's face is damaged for life so just think before sending your child here. I provided both a sun hat (which does have his surname in it) and sun cream was in his bag 50spf so no excuse. Avoid at all costs.

In the space of 6 months, my pre school daughter had an unwitnessed head injury with the ratio as low as 3.5 to 1. Their risk outcome was 'my daughter should tell them if it happens again' - nothing about how they can do better to safeguard children especially with such a low ratio. She went pale within 24 hours of her head injury, and they did not tell us (thankfully she told us about both). The management team trivialised the injury by stating the bruise on her forehead was only the size of a 5p coin. A week later they asked me to fill a accident form for a felttip mark on her nose, which they claimed was a scratch she recieved at home, it was a felt tip mark she got on her nose at the nursery, which was also on her hands (clearly they do not observe children closely). They disclosed her images on social media and the Newsletter without our permission. She was being hit by a child which they did not pick up on, we raised this with them as my daughter became introverted, tearful and said she was scared to go in as she was being hit. This occurred again 4 months later, they did not tell us, again our daughter did. The nursery stated her hair was not pulled hard enough and she did not seem upset, hence why we were not told, despite her telling us and stating she was scared to go in. The management team claimed no previous incidents with the same child and my daughter had occurred, as we had not told them, and there was no log. We then spoke to the keyworker and room lead at the time who confirmed we did speak to her, she does know about the past incidents, and so did the management team at the time of emailing us and stating they did not know, and there was no log of it. A week later they confirmed they found the log, but refused to tell us where the log was, if it wasnt in her file (hence claiming there was no log). They never apologised for stating the incident didn't happen when they knew it did, only that they couldn't locate the log at the time of the email. They advise they like feedback, but they do not like negative feedback, only positive. The management team lack integrity and showed no compassion or accountability to incidents that occurred over a period of time, we had no choice but to remove our children in the best interest of their welfare. We lost complete trust in the management team, and therefore would not recommend this nursery at all. Note: unable to reply to BS comment. My children were both pulled out. My daughter pulled out way in advance of starting school due to safeguarding issues. We went to pick my children's remaining items at which point my daughter said goodbye to an ex keyworker of hers. I was also intimated by the management team for confirming with the keyworker the incidents that occurred were true and not untrue like the management team were claiming. Their comment below just shows the true nature of their character, their passive aggressiveness. The comment was written once my children left, which we pulled out regardless of having to pay for the 4 week period of notice. We did that and wrote this after our children were out because we have no trust in your duty of care or professionalism when it came to the welfare of our children. If you recall correctly I did not attend a single parenterium meeting, the parents who know me can also concur, but again false statements by this nursery.
