Brilliant that's how well I can see. A few years ago I went to Specsavers and tried varifocals (their best range) and they were terrible. I was put off varifocals and went back to bi focals. Went for a test at Hughes and Stephen was very helpful in choosing a pair of varifocals and whow, what a difference. I now have combined three pairs of glasses into one. Reading, long distance and sun glasses. I don't have to keep changing glasses. I have since order a pair of wraparound sunglasses glasses specifically for mountain biking. My whole experience with Hughes opticians has been excellent, friendly and helpful. Going to Specsavers for me was an expensive mistake and now realise the importance of well fitting quality lenses.

I bought a pair of glasses pre Covid but when I went to wear them the frame was broken. I went for an eye test today and took the glasses with me wrongly thinking they would let me change them. I was advised by the optician I perhaps should buy stronger frames! I couldn't believe they expected me to buy another pair. Luckily they were to be a spare pair or I would happily buy another pair from another optician. Both frames are broken so it was weakened by them putting the lens' in. Why sell cheaper frames if this can happen? I have never worn the glasses and you can tell they are brand new. To say I am livid is an understatement. I hasten to add I will not buy another pair from them in the future. I cannot post without doing a star rating else I would not having giving any.

Amazing place to go always willing to help me, and always never to much trouble to fix my boys glasses (they break them alot) used then for years and will always use them and have told alot of people about them and they have now gone there 100% amazing well done x

Excellent eye test, however when I said I wouldn't be purchasing my glasses from them, their attitude changed and I was advised to go elsewhere in future. It is my right to take my prescription elsewhere should I choose, never before have I been treated in this way
