Booked an appointment for 9am. I arrived on time after taking time off work and paying for parking. Only to be told the person was off sick and my appointment would need to be rebooked. What I was most annoyed about was, I was told that someone had tried calling a few minutes ago. My fault? I checked my phone, no miss calls. Why lie? Why not have a better process for early appointments. 2nd visit totally different staff super friendly and very efficient, felt well looked after

1 star because I cannot put Zero stars. Bad form, better service, customer care and overall experience with other branches. Avoid them if you are able to. What a stressful experience end to end dealing with Bideford Specsavers, they never answer the phone, dont respond to vm messages left. 1st appointment I booked full refusal to have eye test after getting stuck in the tail backs of an accident trying to get into Bideford off the A39. (I livea 30 min drive from the store), bad customer service from a very bad tempered and bad mannered young lady refused to let me have my appointment when only 10 mins late, (not helped by a queue of 5 people waiting to be seen at the front desk and me being at the back of the queue and no one available to deal with the front of the queue). 2nd appointment was OK. Owner of store was uber helpful after I'd made a complaint about the previous treatment to HQ. The we come to the notifying of the glasses being ready to pick up.. seriously what a lack of process and customer service.. glasses should have been ready on 25th chased on 25th by phone only to be told that glasses not available, chased, 26th, 27th, and 28th leaving vm's (as store never answers phone), Gave up and contact customer services who managed to ssertain from store they "had forgotten to notify me" that my glasses were ready. Seriously how do you forget to let a customer know their purchase is ready to pick up...
