Vision Express Opticians - Bideford

I would happily give a 10 Star rating to all the staff ate the Bideford branch of Vision Express last week. I was on holiday, so not at near local opticians. I popped in without an appointment as I was experiencing eye swelling, blood shot and a horrible yellow discharge with my eyes. I was in a bit of trouble. They saw me straight away and examined my eyes within minutes. I had to have my eyes washed out as had foreign bodies / chemical / bleeding at the back of one eyeball. Derick numbed one eye and washed out my both eyes with a solution and then advised me what to do with which drops to go and buy from the chemist. He then booked me in to return early the next morning and explained that I might have to go to A & E. I returned the next day and again was examined and booked in for early the next morning again. So in the end 3 visits in all. I am Sorry, but I didnt catch the other names of the lady and man in the store, but I would like to say a HUGE Thank You to you all. My eyes are have calmed down now, so THANK YOU for seeing me so promptly. You were all utterly professional beyond anything that I could of asked for. Vision Express - if there is any award that your staff can be nominated for, I would like to do so. Many Many Thanks for all your help, Alan Hughes.

Didnt find the woman(back row right) in the shop very helpful at all on 11/04/23, she basically told me it was my fault for the scratched lenses on my prescription Ray-bans because apart from wipes from Vision Express , Id also used Specsavers wipes on them !! Nobody informed/advised as such when I purchased them . The outer coating on the lense is clearly visible & doesnt sit right, yet she made no offer of return to manufacturer to sort, when I said I basically have an expensive pair of prescription glasses that are no longer fit for for purpose, she said sorry but yes . Very poor customer service imho .
