They thought it reasonable to enter my property without notice or permission because they wanted to know if I'm living here. I am, and they caused my partner great alarm and distress who was in at the time when they entered without permission. They didn't think a letter, email or phonecall to enquire with me would suffice to find out if we had moved in yet. I also had already notified the relevant people we had moved in. Regardless of that fact, they still can't charge me anything until the VOA have assessed which band to assign to the property. Despicable behaviour. Invading private property and frightening a young mother in her own home. When it comes to reasonable dispute over council tax charges they are rude, unhelpful, and unhinged with some of their behaviour.

They are the worst underperforming council offices in the country. Disgusting, no hygienic, and had of paid should really be relieved of duty with all the staff that work for them. They are profound liars.

Tired of complaining about the refuse/recycling collection. Our collections are 3 different days of the week and partly alternating weekly too! So complicated. No wheelie bin service so bags are torn open by gulls, rodents and sometime the collectors). Refuse collectors do not pick up the rubbish that litters the street so we go out and pick up the rubbish. Very poor. The worst refuse service we have experienced (lived under 6 different councils).

Did a days work for them, fell out with agency. Council said they will still pay me. Just received message to say they now won't pay me

Avoid N Devon if you own an electric vehicle. A charging desert. No investment from TDC - they won't even accept the government grants. If you want to avoid range anxiety, give the queue at the Torridge charger a miss and keep driving to Cornwall! Edit: Thanks for your response. However, councils shouldn't rely on the generosity of third party suppliers to provide the chargers. They should take the lead by investing themselves and taking advantage of the government grants. The few chargers installed can only fast charge one car at a time - the second charger is a slow AC charger - you are lucky to get anything out of them, let alone charge from empty to 80% in 30 mins. Hence the queues. I don't believe that anyone from the council has bothered to go down to the chargers to see how they work. Please try it! None of the 150 on street chargers are in N Devon. Why not? "Rapid Charging Devon" should be "Lucky to Charge Devon"!
