Good selection of musical events on an evening. Opens at 5:00pm I think. No food when we went in but you can buy from the chippy next door and take it in. Decent amount of beers and locals were friendly.

Visited here several times with our dogs whilst staying in Appledore over the new year, we were made to feel very welcome by the locals, the ales were excellent and there are some fantastic live blues bands playing here too. Although very small and so can get very crowded, this just adds to the ambiance and I'd say The Champ is probably the best pub in Appledore, much better than The Beaver Inn nearby which I found more of a locals boozer where the Ale was nowhere near as good and the crowd rather rowdy. Looking forward to visiting again someday.

Ughhh out of tune self indulgent music. Dogs welcome but please keep them off the sofas. Beer average. Won't be going back in a rush.

Really nice cosy pub with a great friendly atmosphere and a proper fire. Really nice ales and good music and jam sessions. Now our favourite pub in appledore. Previous review said its shut, I believe it got new owners three months ago and is now open. Great pub!

Oh dear, I attempt the "Appledore 7" and The Champ is not even open at all all week. This is a PUBLIC house and should OPEN... otherwise is not Public!
