An absolute shambles of a business model. Having worked there myself I can honestly say that it is the worst so called company I have ever seen. They keep you on what they call standby shifts advising that you will receive work after an hour or two but in actual fact, you are sat in a coffee shop for hours on end waiting for work that does not exist. No wonder why they have such a high staff turnover. I know many people that have left in the space of a week and in some cases a day. When you do eventually get a shift, they place you in a shop with no training what so ever. You have no knowledge of the brand or their products. Someone I know was kicked out of one of the shops for not having brand knowledge and when they said that they were not trained, a manager from KWD replied, we gave you a brand pack the night before the shift so you should have read it. Having seen many of these so called brand packs myself, I can say that they have little to no information about the brands or their products. Utterly useless information. How can anyone expect someone with no training and no knowledge of what they are selling expect to sell it! Its absolutely ridiculous. Although the staff may seem friendly, I can guarantee they will not stand up for you when times are hard. They seem very fake. I had experience of this myself. They have no concept of efficiency at all. Once a shift is done, you have to fill in a time sheet and take a picture of it. Once you have taken the picture you have to email it, once this is done you have to wait weeks to get the money you worked for and most of the time they pay you considerably less than what you are owed. Constantly switching from shop to shop is a pain nd having to work along side different dress codes is such a waste of time. Overall, a terrible place to work. I would not recommend it to anyone. They need to step back and have a good long look at what they are doing.
