Beware: conditional selling a which is illegal. Was told by Pharez that I needed to have a financial assessment with their advisors before viewing a property as the owner wanted to stop window shopping. Both viewings arranged through this company were booked as provisional and both were cancelled on the day - not enough notice.

I had a very varied experience with Chancellors in Bicester with my whole sale taking over 11 month. At the start the team communicated well and effort and energy was put into my sale. However after a buyer was found in August 2022 the process was dragged out until Jan 2023 with the buyer unable to produce a mortgage offer. Despite me asking for my options to withdraw from the sale in November/December 2022. This left us paying the mortgage on an empty property for over 4 moths. The sale progression team we unreactive, often called me with incorrect updates and would not chase my buyer any more regularly that once a week even tough I asked for this to be more. I did manage to complete with a new buyer in April 2023 and the in branch staff towards the end of the sale/completion became more more helpful. Pharez and Alistair did at times during the 12 month process help a lot but I feel more could have been done. I sadly would not recommend chancellors and will not be using them again.
