Very well made piece of kit. Works as well if not better than steel.

This is my second slice the first one lasted 10 years with fairly regular use. It still works if not quite as efficiently, hence I bought a second. I still dont quite know how it works but safe to say it does. It only cuts what you want it to cut. (Paper, polythene & the like. Ive tried running it over my hand to no effect. Does not damage surfaces underneath what youre cutting. I find it very useful for cutting polythene bags off magazines and such. Very good product. Can highly recommend it.

I use my slice tool in my art studio constantly. Not only does it open the many art supplies packages that I receive, but it also is invaluable for adding texture to my coloured pencil pet portraits. Ive also rescued a portrait or two when Ive lost the tooth of the paper with over zealous layering. Using the back of the blade, its possible to scratch back the pencil layers, allowing me to go back in with a lighter hand. This is far better than using a rubber, as this pushes the pigment deeper into the paper tooth. In my opinion its an invaluable tool, and one that every coloured pencil artist should have in their supplies box!
