Wickes

On 10th December 2022, we ordered & paid for 14m2 of tiles from Wickes in Bicester. They confirmed they were in stock & delivery was scheduled for the 06th January 2023. On the 05th of January, we received a txt to confirm delivery between 0800 & 1300 hrs on the 06th January. On the 06th of January at 0730 hrs txt received stating your delivery has been collected & is on its way. We accessed a link to see the vans' progress. Next txt received at 0816 hrs read "Hi, your Wickes order had been delivered has been signed for by nothing to deliver." Nothing had arrived at our house. We phoned Wickes & were told the tiles were out of stock & someone would call us back. Eventually, Amanda did call back to say the tiles were in stock but had not been put on the van & would be delivered tomorrow the 07th January between 1000 & 1500 hrs. January 07th at 0800 hrs txt received to say your order is on its way. The delivery arrived at approx 0845 hrs. The delivery driver was excellent, and he put the tiles where I asked in the garage. The moral of this tale is if you can buy the product from somewhere other than Wickes do so. If you can not put what you have bought in your car, borrow or hire a van, do not get it delivered by Wickes.

Ordered two graphite lights, both had been opened and replaced with silver lights and resealed. So clearly been done by Wickes. No answer to phone calls.

Nice airy store with wide variety of DIY stuff. One of the few places you can buy small quantities of building materials like wood and insulation board. Very helpful staff.
