Incredible views, made to feel very welcome by the hosts Jules and Trev, great animals around, excellent breakfasts, super quiet and peaceful, tons of countryside to amble through, super clean and private space, felt very cosy in font of the log fire at night. Jules and Trev have achieved the perfect balance between being sociable with lots of information and keeping their distance during these Covid-times. Our breakfast was prepared, announced and we were left to wander into the dining area of the kitchen to eat. The whole setup works incredibly well! Can definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away but worried about social-distancing measures. Of course the chickens, ducks, sheep and alpacas are always curious and happy to come wandering up when you sit outside with your morning coffee! Bliss!

What a dreamy cottage! Beautiful views, well thought out details, and such lovely hosts! The cottage itself has a rustic charm with full modern comfort. The snug lounge is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace! We loved every moment at the Moorhouse Cottage and will definitely be recommending it to our friends. With regards to Covid19 practices, the hosts have established easy to follow rules to ensure safety for both them and the guests. It did not feel overbearing and was absolutely easy to follow. Happy to see such places emerge from the crisis with proper handling and without losing their charm and hospitality!

We stayed at Moorhouse Cottage for a weekend. Jules & Trevor were terrific hosts, really accommodating and welcoming. They gave us lots of information about the local area and good places to eat out. Trevor cooks a fantastic breakfast too. The location is beautiful, the animals are so tame and seem to enjoy the fuss we make of them. The house itself was simply gorgeous, quaint, rustic, spotless and bijou. I just adored everything. It is a little chocolate box cottage with the most beautiful views, We enjoyed a glass of wine by the fireplace! Its so very cosy we felt at home staying here. If you want a lovely peaceful time in the Countryside, this is an excellent place. We hope to see Jules and Trev the chickens, ducks, sheep and alpacas again in the future. Visit 02 July 2018
