Normally attend Walkergate, but was happy to attend here. Waited a week for appointment, which was fine as non urgent. No issues with reception. Dr Kallay was attentive, approachable and knowledgeable about the medication I'd come to discuss. A pleasant experience.

How do people get to see doctors in this surgery? I've been calling several days without anyone answering the phone.

I award the 'plank of the week' to the Minstergate Surgery where it now takes a month to see a doctor and the latest two receptionists are preventing the local community from using their public toilet. The goal posts keep changing between them, whether your face fits or not e.g. 1) Only patients can use the public toilet. 2) Patients can only use the public toilet on the day of their appointment. 3) Patients who live nearby cannot use the public toilet even if they have an appointment. I was told this morning to use the shop nextdoor because I live nearby. The shop nextdoor is the Co-op. They do not have a public toilet. I have been a registered patient at this surgery for ten years and I do not live that close to it. I happen to live 5 roads away! A good mile in distance. A 20 minute plus walk for me. I am not a young woman. Have a weak bladder. It puts pressure on my health condition. The elderly not being treated with respect or with any understanding since the clap for the NHS during COVID. Where is the health guidance which states patients cannot use the public toilet if living nearby?!? All clap trap in my opinion. Overzealous receptionists with pips on their shoulders.

Absolutely abysmal since they joined up with other surgeries, Main issue nobody ever answers the phone and when they do your on hold for 15-60 minutes or they just cut you off when answering, or like today after ive been trying to get through to them for FOUR days .... when someone finally answered Al I got was 'Hello greengates medical group... Hello, hello.... OH this phone systems buggered!' then hung up!! Now when ringing calls can't connect and just terminate with no ringing whatsoever, NEVER a problem before they branched out! When you do finally get to speak to someone, especially Lincoln way surgery the staff are brilliant! Just go back to individual phones for each branch and save us all a tonne of hassle!
