After contacting ABI about the veneer cracking and peeling off the wood in the caravan. They responded by saying they hadn't come across this before and because my van was out of warranty there was nothing they could do .

ABI BEAUMONT loved the look and feel of this holiday home but I have loads of problems which is a shame and I feel if they used better quality products this would have been a first Class holiday home my 2007 willerby vouge which I part exchanged was in much better condition.

Total lack of quality control and low quality fittings used. We are on our second ABI unit , we upgraded to a more expensive model expecting better quality so the below list covers just the more major issues with the 2 Van's. ABI's favourite excuse is to blame the owner for cleaning something with inappropriate cleaner. Noticed Mark's at back of sink drainer at tap location on our second use of new van. Clearly damaged when it was being installed. ABI first claimed we cleaned it with bleach then claimed we dropped something on it which would be impossible given the small gap between the taps and wall. Now they are saying we shouldn't use any form of cleaner on the stainless steel other than washing up liquid. Some other of the more major faults from new : microwave fused incorrectly , blew on first use , dishwasher leaked and damaged cabinet and had to be replaced , cooker hood extractor DOA had to be replaced , most mirrors had faults in them , sink drains leaked , showers leaked ,amature grouting and sealant work , plastic trim on cabinet housing ensuite sink coming loose after getting wet - sink is so small you cant wash face in it without wetting cabinet, headboard material looked worn after a couple of months , all the interior doors have a gap big enough to put your toes under which ABI say is normal but whether this complies with fire safety regs I would love to know, gas hob one burner would take up to 60 seconds to stay lit ,incredibly cheap and noisy extractor fans in bathrooms, one toilet has a fault in the bowl in the enamel so will quickly become marked, shower shelf so badly fitted everything would slide off when it got wet. Numerous cupboard door handles and doors hit against other surfaces which will result in damage , I've had to apply sticky pads to protect things . Worse being the metal handle on a cupboard which when opened fully smacks right into the glass door on the grill. Its just bad design. Regretting giving them a second chance with the upgrade.
