Good number of squat racks and lifting platforms with a wide variety of equipment. But the changing rooms and upper first floor could do with a facelift. A lot of unusable old equipment on the first floor.

I bought dumbbells 1-10kg and rack from here for 370 and was really pleased by the quality and in dealing with Dan from the gym, bought off GumTree. Also got to see the gym when picking up the weights and it was really well equipped. If I did not live so far away I would enjoy working out here. Edwin

It has everything what you need including platforms. Some of the barbells are pretty used now, not the best but ok. There are not enough fractional plates, and sometimes classes use way too many platforms in peak times.

Clearly the best equipment of any gym in the area, but in recent months the growing size of the popular Olympic weightlifting club has made large parts of the gym difficult to use for normal members during peak hours (particularly weekday evenings). Fantastic coaching and the place to go if you want to take Olympic lifting seriously, but the needs of other gym members seem to have been overlooked to some extent recently. Maybe time to set up the weightlifting club with some dedicated space in one of the little-used studios upstairs?
