We got there about 1300 hrs ...very quiet...very friendly bar maid .....very large choice of beers on the taps ..and she gave a very good suggestion of a beer to try..beer garden very colourful ..and still good old wooden floor .....nice old style London drinker

Interesting pub, nice beer and friendly barmaid. Let down by the diversity outside, you could be forgiven for thinking you are no longer in England. However we did watch a local rob some boxes of Calvin Klein boxers from the Sports Direct a few doors up and run away followed by an unfit security guard.

First things first I never had a problem with the service in here, there was 3 members of staff behind the bar and they were all friendly and smiling. The bar itself isnt the prettiest and I would say it relies on its reputation a bit much but this isnt a problem, you walk in and it feels like a traditional east end pub so for me this was a bonus. It has a decent sized beer garden with plenty of seating and they have a good selection of drinks so if youre in the area swing by and take a look.
