An amazing experience that helped me moved beyond the rapid charring of kebabs on my barbecue, to understanding the benefits of "low and slow". The 6 hours just flew by. Even better than learning how to do this type of barbecue was eating the results! Learned a lot and can't wait for it to warm up so I can put it into practice. Many thanks to the wonderful hosts Jackie and Dave,

I attended the all American BBQ feast (finally, covid scuppering the plans of the whole world for quite some time now!) and enjoyed it very much. A nice welcome upon arrival from Jackie and Dave, with a hot drink and a bacon roll, all in the lovely surroundings of the Kent countryside. Great and accommodating hosts. The other course attendees were also very friendly so there was a good atmosphere all round When the class started, Jackie gave a quick summary of the day and then started prepping the first meats to go on. Over the course of the day many meats were prepped by Jackie and the class (beef ribs, pulled pork, babybacks to name a few). Many delicious sides were also prepared (a beautiful savoury bread pudding being my personal highlight) as well as some brownies for dessert. The cooking took place on a variety of grills and smokers (kamados, traeger pellet, Weber master touch and even a gas Weber genesis, there were also ProQs but we didn't use them on that day). Jackie is extremely knowledgeable and will answer any questions thrown at her and has many useful tips and tricks for making your smoking life easier. At the end of the day you get to eat all the delicious food that's been cooked, and as an added bonus, you get to take the leftovers home, which kept me and my wife fed for a couple of days! I've been smoking for a couple of years now so although not a beginner, still a relative novice and I found the course very informative. However, probably the best thing for me was being able to taste the only Jack Daniels invitational winner from the UK'S food, which was worth the price of entry alone as it's good to have something to aim for flavour wise with your own food! My only regret was being very hungover so I couldn't enjoy the food to its fullest. My fault but I was only in England for 2 weeks
