Old Wall Cottage

Its incredibly difficult when your loved ones need to go into care home, chances are they are reluctant and you are so worried. How do you ever really know that the care shown on a visit will be the same when you get there. Well lets put aside that worry, the old wall cottage is more than a care home, its like the staff are sons and daughters or grandchildren, the level of care is above exceptional and above what we ever expected. The minute our Nanny came into the home she was treated with the upmost care and respect. Each individual nurse and care assistant were amazing and we felt so happy that she was being cared for to that standard. Our Nanny soon deteriorated and the home allowed us to be with her right until her last moment, we are a large family and that cant have been easy for the home but they accommodated all of us without any fuss. An excellent home who we cant recommend enough. The owner even took tile to speak to us.

The standard of care here is exceptional. My father is extremely well looked after and his every need is never too much trouble. As he is almost ninety, there are many aspects of care which need addressing and the care workers are truly fantastic at keeping him clean and comfortable. If he wasn't very happy he would have said something but he is full of praise. I can't thank all the cheerful staff enough. Thank you all

No heating on today. No carer to assist. Lack of hygiene. Male residents allowed to handle female residents and go into their rooms as if its normal. No one to stop behaviours that ate very distressing. Needs not met. Essential items . Soap. Socks. Privacy. Intimidation. Hysteria. This place should not be looking after tenderly people.

From the moment my brother-in-law moved into the nursing home, the welcome and care he has received has made the transition of leaving his home seem seamless. Staff are very kind, caring and considerate, they go out of their way to ensure every need is catered for and we have no worries at all, He has settled in wonderfully and seems very happy.

This home has a real family feel about it and the excellent care provided. The team at Old Wall Cottage Nursing Home were incredibly supportive during the very stressful and emotional time moving Mum into nursing care. Since her arrival at Old Wall Cottage Nursing Home Mum has put on weight as she enjoys the food and also gets the help she sometimes needs at mealtimes. Staff really seem to know all the residents.
