I was very nervous to receive personal care as I was new to asking for help and was anxious about it. Riseups team have been wonderful, I was instantly put at my ease and felt safe and comfortable with my carers, I would recommend them to anyone anxious or nervous about having a carer and especially for personal care , nothing is too much trouble and they are all so friendly and kind.

All the carers at Riseup are kind, thoughtful and hard working. They are always willing to help with extra tasks and are great company for my husband. They keep him safe while I am at work and I can concentrate on what I need to do knowing he is in safe and caring hands. It is also a huge help that they make sure he does his daily physio and gets some fresh air each day. They ensure his dignity is respected at all times. He really likes all of them and enjoys their company. The care provided has had a hugely beneficial impact on all of us as a family, including my dad (he is nearly 80), who was constantly on call helping us at short notice and checking in on my husband as much as possible while I was at work - that had been going on for a few years, even before my husband had an accident that exacerbated his degenerative condition. We were all close to burnout before the one to one carer calls began. We have been able to breathe again and retrieve a sense of hope and looking forward to family time instead of constantly trouble shooting. Our little girl has benefitted from having her mum more available to be a mum instead of being constantly stressed and busy. We recommend them wholeheartedly.
