Quite simply the best car hire company Ive ever used. From airport pick up to drop off the people have all been a pleasure to deal with and the vehicles we hired were all clean and well prepared.

Excellent service from Steve - our train into Berwick was delayed by 3 hrs - Steve hung around and waited until it arrived at 7.30 pm. Picking up and returning the car was trouble free: Steve was at the station on return. The cost was very competitive and we would certainly recommend them if you need to rent a car in Berwick.

Coming from a "grumpy old man" who rarely leaves positive reviews, this experience was breath of fresh air - good value, easy and none of the usual hassle of insurance excess rip offs you get with national rentals. Flexible, inasmuch as we extended the rental period and all worked so well. Cannot recommend East Coast Rentals enough. Yes, it may feel a bit laid back but Steven is on the phone when you need to speak.
