The Vine House

We had a lovely stay at the Vine House on Chet Valley Vineyard. The accommodation was very clean, warm and spacious with lovely surroundings in a very peaceful location. The beds were extremely comfortable and I slept the best I have done for a long time. Its a dog friendly cottage with plenty of parking and is all on one floor. There is a wet room which makes it very easy for those with poor mobility. The hosts were very hospitable and attentive. A visit to their winery at Chet Valley Vineyard which is very close by is a must. The wines are elegant, particularly the sparkling range and the food provided was very tasty. Whilst we were there we had an outing to the Norwich Castle and saw the fascinating exhibition about the wreck of the Gloucester which was discovered off the coast of Norfolk, also a trip to the Sainsbury's centre which was extremely interesting. We are not so mobile these days but would have loved to have gone on some of the beautiful walks in the local countryside from the Vine House doorstep. All highly recommended! Looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Rooms: Very spacious 2 doubles and a twin. Nearby activities: Vineyard tours etc on site Norwich city 10 miles Norfolk Broads 10 miles Coast 40.minutes by car Cycling, walking from the door Boating nearby Safety: Excellent and accessible for those with mobility difficulties. Food & drinks: The Chet Valley Vineyard produces fine English wine, notably sparkiling wines. All delicious.
