River's Reach at North Hooe

A very remote and quiet location on the Devon, Cornwall border, backing onto the Tamar River. The host Penny is lovely and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. Bedrooms are compact and the facilties are really good including a BBQ, a games room and kayaks on the river. Lovely quiet setting with plenty of places to visit reasonably close. Recommend Peter Tavy pub, Drake Manor pub both excellent food and not expensive. Also excellent "Glory of Glass" offering a glass fusion taster workshop a short distance away. Really enjoyed our stay July 2022.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Penny's tranquil getaway. The accomadation itself was beautiful - bright, airy and clean with fantastic views of the winding river beneath. Any questions we had throughout the week and Penny was happy to help. Can't forget to mention the friendly locals too (sheep, chickens, pig).

If your looking to connect with nature you really would want to consider "River's Reach" I found the energy positive and uplifting. The accommodation, simple, spacious, clean and relaxing. Plenty of room for everyone to share space with each other or find a quiet spot to contemplate life on your own. The host, Penny was informative and friendly, genuinely concerned that you have everything you need. An incredibly peaceful environment.
