Its nice to see money being raised for good causes , but I couldn't get a reasonable answer out of the staff when I enquired why the cost of the donated books had gone up from 25p to 1 + the chap serving said it was because of lockdown , when I questioned why that cost was being passed on to the public he called the manager who's abrupt answer was "well books am expensive & were practically giving them away in here" Don't wish to sound mean but having donated "expensive" books to them for years myself it just seems a bit greedy of the manager to charge 1 for a book that was 25p having being given it for free in the first place
