Steve Ward Fishing

Last week my friend Tony and I met up with Steve for a day session on the mid Severn in our quest to catch our first barbel. The session exceeded all our expectations and between us we caught 7 barbel, a chub and the biggest roach that I've ever seen. Steve was really good company, worked hard to keep us on the fish and shared lots of helpful fishing tips and tactics to help us improve our fishing. All round excellent experience, definitely recommend.

Steve guided me through my first Fly Fishing experience and I'd recommend him to anyone interested, at any level. A great day out, with a balance of technical focus, good story telling, and humour! I've always imagined Fly Fishing to be extremely technically challenging, and indeed it is, however! Steve focused on the basics with me so I didn't get overwhelmed, and I ended landing three beautiful trout (then happily released them), and hooking half a dozen more. After this experience I'm already shopping for my own equipment and ready for the next step. Thanks Steve, best of luck in Kenya.

Booked Steve for a days fly fishing as both myself and wife Janet had never done it before. An amazing day that lived up to all expectations and more - great location - brilliant teacher very patient and the fish were very well behaved in letting us catch them
