I have currently been on hold to talk to the reception team for 40 minutes. The hold message has changed from being 2nd in the queue to just thank you for calling your call will be answered when a receptionist becomes available. You really need a new hold system. If you think there is going to be a long queue then why isn't there an automatic call back system? If there is a problem that means you can't come to the phone it would be better to let people waiting know so that they can call back later! This review in no way is about the reception team themselves. Although, I was told to call back to hear a query from the Pharmacist. I would've been more efficient for them to send an email or text to say they have updated my prescription or to ask me to call. This system of making people have same day appointments is illogical. I needed a doctor's appointment to agree continued use of medication. I tried several times to get through and called at least a week in advance. Now it's become a more "urgent" problem because of this system and I'm unlikely to get my prescription.

Reception team selective with offering you an appointment. Booking an appointment is a nightmare. They ask you to call at 08:30 and when you do its cut off with automated reply we are experiencing high volume of calls, please call back later. When you call the other times they say call back again the next day at the same time. I tried to call in to get a medical note as I have been stressed and anxious about work bullying. Dr Tanzla Anwar (GP) told me anxiety is not a medical condition for you to be off and that to take it as how you would deal with a break up and try to get back to work. I told her that my mental health is affected by work and that I am a single mother with a young child and I am worried about my mental health. She cared less and didnt even bother listening and kept being dismissive. Even though I work for the NHS and I work with vulnerable families I felt completely let down if the fact that your own GP dont care about your mental health and rather help you to make it worse!! Thanks for nothing. If you end up having anxiety or depression I am sure you will start having empathy with patient. My whole family have been their patients for over 7 years and now I have changed my GP. I will not recommend them to anyone. Dr T Anwar is person in the wrong profession. Absolute disgrace to the service. You dont even deserve one star!!
