(EL location): Some items amazingly fresh and of exceptional high quality. But some items neglected and overlooked with heavily moulded chillies looking quite unloved. No indications on countries of origin for many products and staff quite apathetic and unable to indicate where items come from when asked.

Today I spent the best 1.80 I ever spent at this hip & swanky version of a good old-fashioned local greengrocer. I went in for Dill and came away with a bag of freebies. I asked if I could take something for my guinea pig (from their throwaway stock outside) and found a lot more - fit for human consumption - than I bargained for! The kind staff didn't mind me asking for a bag to stuff the lovely kale, purple kale, rocket, and sprouts on a stalk. This business only keeps the utmost freshest produce to sell. the freshness of Artichoke's discarded stock is better than anything I've had from the major supermarkets. I'm sick of the half-rotten fruit & veg at Tesco & Sainsbury's. Very glad I used local shops today instead!
